Gladys Brown

Gladys Louise Brown, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 21, 2018, at The Gables of Ammon Assisted Living Center. She was under the care of her loving family and Encompass Home Health & Hospice. Gladys was born November 17, 1926, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Don Carlos Williams and Harriet Ludema Ball Williams. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended O.E. Bell. On May 18, 1945, she married Lorne Bert Brown in Dillon, Montana. They were blessed with three children, Lynn, Shannon and Dea. Gladys and Bert made their home in Idaho Falls where Gladys worked as a laborer for Simplot GPOD. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed painting ceramics and collecting dolls. She loved her jewelry and her dogs, Dottie and Twister. Gladys is survived by her loving son, Lynn Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Shannon (Joseph) Peron of Shelley, ID; brother, Robert Williams of St. Anthony, ID; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Harriet Williams; husband, Bert Brown; son, Dea Brown; brother, Marvin Williams; sister, Dorathy DaBell; and great granddaughter, Olivia Johnson. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Chris Bowman officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery. The family would like to thank Encompass Home Health & Hospice for their loving care of Gladys.
