When I went to Ucon Elementary & Gina went to Fairview Elementary, our teachers set up a "pen pal" program. Gina was my first "pen pal" ever! It was so fun to hear from someone I didn't even know, but I got to know her through her letters she wrote to me. She sent me her school photo and I sent her mine (I'm sure I still have it). As girls, we had a lot to share! I then had the privilege of getting to know her better as we attended Bonneville (Jr. High and High School) and eventually graduating with her. She was such a fun person ~ I always enjoyed her sense of humor! =) She is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing her memories with us. She will be missed. My sincerest condolences to Gina's family and friends.

To Gina's Family -
It was very sad news when I heard of Gina's passing. We went to school together and I thought a lot of Gina, especially with her strength in committing to conquering her illness. She was always a great example of a strong woman/mother/friend. I am sorry for your loss, she has left this world all too soon. May you find peace eventually in knowing that she no longer suffers. -

In the little time that I got to know Gina, I got to see someone, despite her battle with cancer, love life, people, always thoughtful of others and their feelings, always giving an encouraging word, and the love that she had for her family. To Sdney and Jack, your mother was a great person. Know that through the Plan of Salvation, you will be with her again someday. Until then, know that she will always watch over you, and guide you when she can throughout your lives. May God bring peace to you - all of you - at this time, and as you heal, realize that know matter what, she is still there.
Sincerely,
Sean

Gina and I became friends when she came to The National Institute of Health for treatment of her illness. I was her visiting teacher here in Washington, DC, and came to love her very much. She was so positive and cheerful, despite the trials she experienced. Sidney and Jack were her favorite subjects and she was filled with love for them and for her family, who sacrificed so much for her. I know that losing her will create an empty space in your lives, but she will be waiting to embrace all of you again. Her greatest concern was for her children, whom she entrusted to her parents without hesitiation. My prayers are for comfort and healing for all of you. Her love for you is eternal.
