Geraldine Ann "Geri" Julian, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away unexpectedly August 21, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Geri was born December 28, 1934, in West Plains, Missouri, to Henry C. Holt and Edna Fine Holt. She grew up and attended school in West Plains, Missouri. Her family later moved to Murtaugh, Idaho, where she graduated in 1953, in a class of nine students. On September 26, 1954, she married George D. Julian in Twin Falls, Idaho. To this union were born two sons: Michael and David. Geri and George later made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Geri worked as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell for many years. She was also involved with the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping, and her little dog, Molly. Geri also thoroughly enjoyed square dancing with her beloved as part of the Jolly Mixers for over 20 years. Geri is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, George D. Julian; son, Michael (Cindy) Julian of Idaho Falls, ID; son, David (Stacie) Julian of Idaho Falls, ID; grandson, Ryan (Christie) Julian of Meridian, ID; granddaughter, Melissa (Benjamin) Klipfel of Denver, CO; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, with a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
