Gerald "Jerry" Sorensen

Gerald "Jerry" R. Sorensen, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 15, 2017, at his home.

Jerry was born October 23, 1933, in Teton, Idaho, to Edward P. Sorensen and Verna May Neibaur Sorensen. He grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Madison High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War.

On January 12, 1972, he married Karen Hurley. Jerry worked in sales for a snowmobiling company and at Westinghouse from which he retired. He enjoyed both snowmobiling and motorcycle riding.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of almost 46 years, Karen Sorensen of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lexie (Steve) Baker of Pocatello, ID; daughter, Lisa Ozuna of Boise, ID; stepdaughter, Brenda (Travis) Stibal of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Mel Sorensen of Utah; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson; and seven siblings.
