George W. Thornock Jr.

George W. Thornock, 54, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully at his home on December 2, 2021.

George was born on September 9, 1967, in Riverside, California, but raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

On November 20, 2015, he married the love of his life, Sandy Kay Marine. Sandy had three girls and one boy, Adam Prophet, Christina Smith, Brandy Moon, and Heather Moon. George loved those kids as if they were his very own. George was super close to Christina, she called George her papa or pops and he just loved the heck out of her four kids, Tyla, Michael, Dylan Faulkner, and Lexi Tatum.

George will be very missed by us all.

George was a die hard Cowboys fan. He would watch every game he could. George loved spending time with his wonderful wife, Sandy Thornock and making memories together taking trips to Boise, West Yellowstone and Lagoon; something George never got to do before. George loved spending time with his daughter, Christina and having family BBQ’s and doing family events.

George is survived by his amazing caring loving wife, Sandy Thornock of Pocatello, ID; daughter, Christina Smith of Idaho Falls, ID; step-daughters, Brandy Moon and Heather Moon, both of Idaho Falls, ID; and step-son, Adam Prophet of Idaho Falls. George had three biological sons, many brothers, sisters, grandchildren, and family members that he loved very much.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
