GEORGE W. THORNOCK
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- George Walter Thornock, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 15, 2006, at his home of lung cancer.
He was born February 12, 1930, in Bloomington, Idaho, to David Earl Thornock and Sarah Quinton Thornock. He grew up and attended schools in Bloomington. He served as a Mechanic in the U. S. Army during World War II.
He married Karen Francis Pope and they were later divorced. He married Nellie Marion Downs and she preceded him in death. He worked as an auto mechanic at Holst Radiator Shop until his retirement in 1995.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed being with his family, fishing, picnicking with friends and family, and working on cars.

Brother: Ralph (Ruthene) Thornock of Soda Springs, ID
39 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Nellie, his first wife, Karen, a son, Edward, and two daughters, Louise and Georgia.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006, at Fielding Memorial Park. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
