George Dudley Richardson, 80, entered into rest Friday, August 1, 2014, at his residence in Aiken, South Carolina.
George was born in Seaboard, Alabama, having made Aiken his home for the past forty years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Just after the war, he helped build the first nuclear submarine. In addition to working in the nuclear industry, he was a teacher, writer, and professional musician.

Grandchildren, Marci Blight, Nicholas Pierson, Lindsey Hepworth, Ryan Pierson, Jorden Cammack, Alison Rockwood, Daniel Richardson, Raegan Casto, Marcus Vickers, Robert Hall, Whitney Hall, Aja Hatfield, Christa Sato, Cameron Wilson, Hayden Wilson, Dakoda Richardson, Jessica Waller, Kristin Cawthon, Justin Waller, Benjamin Cawthon, Elijah Cawthon, Maranda Richardson, and Logan Richardson;
Great grandchildren, Seth Landon, Ellen Landon, Mason Pierson, Sage Pierson, Jonas Pierson, Chloe Hepworth, Carson Hepworth, Abby Hepworth, Ava Hepworth, Ethan Pierson, Dexter Pierson, Kent Cammack, Amelia Rockwood, Irie Hatfield, Penny Hatfield, Maliki Rowen, Daniel Richardson Jr., Sky Richardson, Jason Richardson, Caydence Richardson, Cheyenne Richardson, Chloe Richardson, Malachy Richardson, Kyden Richardson, Blake Richardson, Billy Casto, Makenzie Casto, Braydon Hall, Cory Williams, Izabella Vickers, Ryker Vickers, Cayden Demoulin, and Parker Dunigan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrna Esther Winn Richardson and his parents, Robert Crosby Richardson and Lucinda Margaret Wheat.
Funeral Services were conducted Monday, August 4, 2014, at Aiken LDS Coker Springs Ward with Bishop Neal Askew officiating.
Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho, under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Richardson, Daniel Richardson, Marcus Vickers, Jason Richardson, Jr., Robert Hall, and Dakoda Richardson, Nicholas Pierson, Ryan Pierson, Logan Richardson, Earl Wooten, and Swain Keaton.
