I started working at High Desert Realtors and shortly after, I attended my first AA meeting, not knowing that George was a recovering alcoholic. I was surprised and a little uncomfortable when I walked in and saw my new boss, George. But he immediately recognized me, smiled, and made me feel so welcome that my anxieties were soon lifted. I continued to attend meetings and always looked forward to hearing what George had to say. His insight and love for those around him was genuine and strengthening. Sometimes George couldn't make it to the meeting I attended, due to appointments, work or whatever. I was so disappointed when he couldn't come. George had a way of making meetings so fun, whether it was an AA meeting or a meeting at the office. I loved his humor, as everyone did, and I'm very sad that he passed away. I hope all of you will be okay and can find some peace and joy in the words of the many people George inspired in his life. I'm happy to have been one of them. Steve Janet Corson Stanton janetcorson@email.com I have been in a Waldenstrom's support group with George and wanted to tell you how sorry I am for our loss . . . and yours. He was a wonderful man and a great friend and I have alot of good memories of him. I will be out of town for his services on Monday, but will be there in spirit. God bless. Ed, Valerie and Pete valkyrie@vci.net We are so sorry to hear of George's passing. He will be greatly missed. He always had a good sense of humor and demeanor. Our deepest sympathies are with you at this time. BllPauli@aol.com I want to express my deepest sympathy to you in your sorrow. George was such an inspiration to me. I loved to hear him share his story in our AA meetings. His honesty was admirable. He was what so many of us strived to be. We will miss him greatly. With much love and sympathy, Pauline Ballard
