George Harry Mcdougal

George Harry McDougal, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 31, 2020, at his home of a heart attack.

George was born June 18, 1956, to George Henry McDougal and Beatrice Levasseur in Caribou, Maine. He had nine brothers and sisters, so they were a big family.

George met the love of his life in the summer of 1980, and they were married that same year. George was an army veteran. He served in the Gulf War, Desert Storm, as well as Operation Freedom.

After returning home, he and his wife Vadea talked about children and in 2010, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter whom they named Dixie Lynn.

In 2017, his lost his wife Vadea “Dee” to lung cancer and from then on he and Dixie became a team.

George left behind his daughter, Dixie Lynn McDougal; as well as two sisters, Linda McDougal McLaughlin and Mary McDougal; and one brother Galen McDougal.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his brothers, and his wife.

The family is having a Graveside Service with military rites at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
