George Machuga
George Machuga, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 27, 2009, at his home at Lincoln Court Assisted Living Center.
George was born March 13, 1924, in Staunton, Illinois, to John Machuga and Mary Yurash Machuga. He lived in Livingston, Illinois, for 76 years and in Idaho Falls the past nine years, so he could be closer to his family.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
He married Geraldine Lucille Rule on June 30, 1945 in Staunton, Illinois. She died May 24, 2005.
George was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He loved to tinker with engines and did many small engine repairs. George enjoyed gardening and working with his hands. He farmed as a boy growing up. He enjoyed talking to people about the Bible. He especially loved children and they loved him.

Son: Lee Nelson (Robin) Machuga of Idaho Falls ID;
Sister: Margaret Watchko of Bend, IL;
Sister: Nancy Machuga of Staunton, IL;
Sister- in- law: Erma Machuga of Staunton, IL;
8 Grandchildren, 4 great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John, Elmer, and Steve, and sisters, Mary Machuga and Anne McFarland.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4805 S. Sweetwater Way.
