George Knoll

Click Here To View Memorial Video George Charles Knoll, 78, of Enoch, Utah, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014, at his home. He was born April 6, 1936, in Muskegon, Michigan, to George Benjamin Knoll and Alberta Mae Mosher Knoll. He grew up and attended schools in Muskegon, Michigan. George served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. On July 9, 1957, he married Mary Lou McGahan in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple in 1971. To this union were born six children, Melody, Jake, Kathleen, Vernice, Stephen, and Annie. George and Mary Lou made their home in Kemmerer, Wyoming, where George worked as a Plant Manager. Mary Lou passed away on July 8, 2013. On March 10, 2014, George married Lorna Yvonna Hansen. Lorna brought him extreme joy and happiness in those short months. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed the outdoors, and especially loved hunting and fishing. George is survived by his loving wife of five months, Lorna Yvonna Knoll of Cedar City, UT; daughter, Melody (James) Grivet of Menan, ID; son, Jake (Clara) Knoll of Rock Springs, WY; daughter, Kathleen (George) Mayne of Cedar City, UT; daughter, Vernice Knoll of Curtis, MI; son, Stephen Knoll of Rock Springs, WY; daughter, Annie (Keith) Thompson of Williston, ND; three step-children that he learned to love quickly; brother, Terry Knoll of Muskegon, MI; sister, Carol Whipple of Marne, MI; sister, Julie Fulmer of Standale, MI; sister, Irene Marquis of Indianapolis, IN; 42 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his father, George Benjamin Knoll; mother, Alberta Mae Knoll; wife of 56 years, Mary Lou Knoll; granddaughter, Mary Mayne; sister, Geraldine Peters; sister, Marietta Peake; brother, Stephen Knoll. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014, at the Menan LDS 1st Ward, 698 North 3600 East. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Jefferson County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.

Funeral Services will be held

Friday August 15, 2014 , 11:00 am at Menan LDS 1st Ward

The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
