George Booker

George Albert Booker Jr., 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 3, 2020, at Lily & Syringa Assisted Living Center. He was under the care of Aspen Hospice.

George was born January 14, 1933, in Duluth, Minnesota, to George Booker and Ruth Jeron Booker. He grew up in Duluth with his eleven siblings.

George married Dana Gobbi, and they were blessed with five children: Karen, George Jr., Edward, David, and Janet. They later divorced. George moved to Idaho Falls where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. This bled into his private life as he loved tinkering on everything. He also was a deep sea fisherman and primarily fished for sharks. Most of all, he deeply loved his family.

George is survived by his loving daughters, Janet (Henry) Garrick of Idaho Falls, ID, and Karen Booker of CA; sons, George (Sara) Booker, Jr. of MS, Edward (Cynthia) Booker of MI, and David (Marin) Booker of Salt Lake City, UT; sister, Betty Pefoska of IL; and 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings.

Private family services will be held.
