Gene Brauer

GENE T. BRAUER IDAHO FALLS, ID - Gene Thomas Brauer, 75, of Thayne, Wyoming, died May 14, 2004, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born October 28, 1928, at Auburn, Nebraska, to Thomas Brauer and Kathryn Stover Brauer. He attended Falls City High School and Oklahoma University. During the Korean War, he served as a Corporal in the U. S. Army. On October 13, 1950, he married Bebe Carole Mercer in Gonzales, Texas, and together they raised three sons and a daughter. He worked for 29 years as Manager for Schlumberger Company and for 10 years for Conoco Oil Company. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Shriners Club. He loved spending time with his friends and especially his grandchildren, Ian, Brooke and Alison. Surviving are: Wife: Bebe Brauer, Thayne, WY Son: Kevin Brauer, Minneapolis, MN Daughter: Susan (Chris) Sellie, Cathay, North Dakota Son: Mark (Sharon) Brauer, Prior Lake, Minnesota He was preceded in death by a son, David. Services will be held at a later date in North Dakota. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to the charity of your choice. Local arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
