Gaynol Mechling

GAY MECHLING IDAHO FALLS, ID - Gaynol Peterson Mechling, 67, of Idaho Falls, died June 13, 2005, at her home. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. She was born August 8, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Levoy F. Peterson and Eula Afton Svedin Peterson. She grew up and attended schools in Swan Valley, moving to Idaho Falls after her marriage. She married Keith Bishop in 1955, and five children were born to them. They were later divorced. She married Daniel Jim Mechling June 13, 1985, in Pocatello, Idaho. She worked as a waitress, as a checker at Butterys Foods and as a clerk for the City of Idaho Falls. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed traveling, quilting and sewing. Suvivors include: Husband: Daniel Jim Mechling, Idaho Falls Mother: Eula Peterson, Idaho Falls Son: Greg (Lynn) Bishop, Pingree, ID Son: Randy Bishop, Idaho Falls Daughter: Brenda “DeeDee” Dixon, Idaho Falls Daughter: Bonnie (Randy) Lowe, Idaho Falls Daughter: Vickie (Dwight) Henrie, Nampa, ID Step-daughter: Dawn (Kim) Hanson, South Jordan, UT Step-daughter: Jean (Jesus) Orozco, Rigby, ID Brother: Wayne (Shirley) Peterson, Idaho Falls Brother: William “Bill” (Ester) Peterson, Idaho Falls Brother: Sherman (Rula) Peterson, American Falls, ID Sister: Sheryl Lowe, Idaho Falls Brother: Robert “Bob” (Queenie) Peterson, Boise, Idaho 17 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Kim Hanson officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services on Saturday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
