Gaylon Lyle Beck, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 5, 2014, at his home. He was under the care of OneSource Home Health and Hospice and his loving family.
Gaylon was born December 25, 1940, in Archer, Idaho, to Lyle Beck and Delpha Martha Weekes Beck. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. Gaylon joined the Idaho Pipes Trades Trust Local 648 in June of 1977.
On January 18, 1963, he married Linda Larae Nelson in Shelley, Idaho. To this union were born three children: Kent, Craig, Brian. Gaylon and Linda made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Gaylon joined the National Guard after high school. He then became a meat cutter and a plumber/pipefitter.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gaylon enjoyed camping, hunting, huckleberry picking and doing word searches.
Gaylon is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Larae Beck
son, Kent (Daralee) Beck of Idaho Falls, ID,
son, Craig L. Beck of Post Falls, ID,
son, Brian (Candice) Beck of Idaho Falls, ID,
and four grandchildren; Justin Beck, Cory Beck, Hayden Beck and Kaylin Beck.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Beck, mother, Delpha Martha Beck, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m., both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Archer-Sutton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the family so they can help other families during Christmas.
Military Rites will be performed by the Madison County Veterans Memorial Team.
