Gary Edward Wilson

Gary Edward Wilson, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 9, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Gary was born September 21, 1935, in Walsenburg, Colorado, to Cleo Love Wilson and Laura K. Hammer Wilson. He grew up and graduated from LaJunta High School. He also attended Colorado State University.

On June 3, 1961, he married Alice Spohn in Forgan, Oklahoma. Gary and Alice made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Gary worked as a Aerospace Engineer for Martin Marietta in Lakewood, Colorado and move to Idaho Falls in 1976.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He enjoyed being a member of Koshares Boy Scouts who traveled around the country performing shows which were very accurate productions of classic American Indian dances.

Gary is survived by his wife, Alice Wilson, of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jon  Wilson, of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, and Katina Wilson of Los Lunes, NM.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cleo Love Wilson; and  mother, Laura K. Wilson.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Jakers Bar and Grill.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Idaho Youth Ranch, 255 N. Woodruff Avenue, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
