GARY DUANE JOHNSTON
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Gary Duane Johnston, 49, of West Yellowstone, Montana, died June 12, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
He was born December 23, 1952 in Aberdeen, Washington, to Raymond Arthur Johnston and Maryann W. Foy Johnston. He lived in Aberdeen for six years, in Olympia, Washington for 36 years, and in West Yellowstone for the last seven years. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam era.
He married Donna Marie Noel Lane June 13, 1998 in West Yellowstone, Montana. He worked as a finish carpenter and cabinet maker for Hilgard Log Builders in West Yellowstone and was formerly a Superintendent for Berschauer and Phillips Construction in Olympia, Washington.
He was past President of the Carpenters Local Union 1129 and a member of the Elks Lodge. He was a member of St. Michael's Church in Olympia, Washington. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and hanging out with good friends.

(Gary) Hilberg, Olympia, WA 3 Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his mother, Maryann.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2002, at the Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church on Madison Street in West Yellowstone, Montana, with Sister Ann Marie officiating. The family welcomes friends to visit prior to the services from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Fir Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
A Wake will immediately follow the services at Eino’s Restaurant, everyone is welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gary Duane Johnston Fund at First Security Bank in West Yellowstone.
