GARY JOHNSON IDAHO FALLS, ID - Gary Allan Johnson, 62, of Idaho Falls, died May 17, 2005, at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. He was born December 7, 1942, in Faribault, Minnesota, to Gillman Hilton Johnson and Marilyn Elizabeth Lewis Johnson. He attended primary schools in ZumBro Falls, Minnesota, High School in Lake City, Minnesta, and attended Rochester Jr. College. He lived in Kalispell, Montana, for 4 years, and Idaho Falls for the last 20 years. He has worked as a postal employee, bartender, bar manager and most recently as a pharmaceutical courier. He belonged to the Elks Club, being State Elk of the year in 1988, and was a member of the Eagles for 41 years. He also served as vice president of the Skyline Gun Club in 1998. He enjoyed hunting, gun sports, bowling, softball and golf. Surviving are: Son: Mark (Melissa) Johnson, Grinell, IA Son: Thor (Danice) Johnson, Dunkerton, IA Long-time companion: Judy Williams, of Idaho Falls, and her children, Erika and Joel Johnson, both of Seattle, WA Mother: Marilyn Johnson, Rochester, MN Brother: Lance (Nancy) Johnson, Rochester, MN 4 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. No funeral services will be held. The family will visit with friends Saturday, May 21, 2005, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, in Idaho Falls. After the gathering, friends and family are invited to 2344 St. Clair Avenue following the visitation for food and drink. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 2676 Vista Avenue, Boise, Idaho 83705. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
