Gary Jon Jensen

Gary Jon Jensen, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 11, 2022, at his home.

Gary was born April 20, 1949, in New York City, New York, to Grover Cullen Jensen and Ingrid Margaret Didrickson Jensen. He graduated summa cum laude from Wagner College in Staten Island, with his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Gary graduated from the Westinghouse Nuclear Power School and worked many years at the Naval Reactors Facility in Idaho.

Gary was a Nuclear Engineer, technical writer, and editor. He enjoyed hunting, photography, and gardening. He had a quirky sense of humor and was very intelligent.

Gary is survived by his nephew, William (Melanie) Jensen of New Jersey; nephew, James  (Andrea) Jensen of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Martha Jensen of New Jersey; cousin, Jon (Jana) Didrickson of Washington State; and great aunt, Eleanore Zuber of New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Jensen; and his parents, Grover and Ingrid Jensen.

Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue.
