GARY GRIMM
IDAHO FALLS, ID --
Gary LaVern Grimm, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 21, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center due to complications related to emphysema.
Gary was born March 4, 1940, in Sidney, Montana, to Wilma G. Wyman Grimm and Paul L. Grimm. He moved to Billings, where he attended school until the ninth grade. Subsequently, he moved back to Sidney to work on his Grandfather’s farm.
On July 6, 1959, he married DiAnne Marie Dusbabek in Billings, Montana. Their union was blessed with two daughters. Gary and DiAnne spent the majority of their lives in Wyoming and Montana, working on cattle ranches, which was where they were the happiest. In 1977, Gary and DiAnne started a livestock hauling business in Billings and in 1983, moved to Pompeys Pillar, Montana. After retiring from the trucking business in 1986, Gary returned to working on cattle ranches in Montana and Arizona. Gary enjoyed having DiAnne at his side and their western lifestyle.
In 1997, Gary and DiAnne moved to New Mexico, where they purchased the Ol’ West RV Park. They moved to Idaho Falls to be closer to family in 2001. DiAnne passed away in June of that year. Gary continued to make his home in Idaho Falls. Gary most enjoyed rodeoing, working with his horses, being with DiAnne, his wife of 42 years, and spending time outdoors with his four grandchildren.

To all of the family: Your dad was the only adult male in our lives for many years. He may not have been a "warm fuzzy," but he made sure we had food, and the bills were paid. That was a lot. Most 19 year olds would have run screaming the other way if his wife, with a grandmother and a kid brother and sister in tow, would have said "we have to take care of them." He didn't. He worked hard, and he showed he cared the only way he knew how -- by providing shelter and food. In his heart, he meant well. He just could never express it. I hope you hold him close in your thoughts and prayers always. Blessings to you.
Love, Aunt Barb
