Gary Gold

Gary was born February 12, 1942, in Wendell, Idaho, to Ermin Cyrus Gold and Verda Nielson Gold. He grew up and attended schools in Gooding and graduated from Gooding High School. He also attended BYU Hawaii, BYU Provo, and BYU-Idaho.

On July 29, 1967, he married Susie Lynn Davison in Laie, Hawaii, LDS Temple. To this union were born five children, Christal, Jared, Nephi, Frank, Sunni. Gary and Susie made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Gary worked as a teacher for a special education teacher.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. He served as a missionary in Perth, Australia, Owerri, Nigeria, Laie and Kona, Hawaii. He enjoyed travel, cooking, surfing, mechanics, and biking.

Gary is survived by his wife, Susie Lynn Gold of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Christal Gold of San Diego, CA; son, Jared Gold of Los Angeles, CA; son, Nephi Gold of Ogden, ID; son, Frank Gold of Aurora, CO; daughter, Sunni Willford of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Kent Gold of Mesquite, NV; sister, Carolee Hall of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Shanna Koyle of Gooding, ID; sister, Julie Gold of Gooding, ID; sister, Connie Evans of Green River, WY; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Idaho Falls LDS Rose Park Ward, 1165 Azalea Drive, with Bishop Jonathon Whipple officiating. The family will welcome friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
