Gary Harmon Aycock, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 5, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Gary was born March 22, 1942, in Coalville, Utah, to Mulford Harmon Aycock and Gwendolyn Duke Aycock. He grew up and attended schools in Coalville and Fort Collins, Colorado, and graduated from Fort Collins High School. He also attended the University of Northern Colorado. Gary owned and operated his own accounting firm. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various capacities over the years and was serving as a counselor in the Fox Hollow Ward Sunday School Presidency at the time of his death. He enjoyed spending time with his family and serving in the church. Gary is survived by
son, Brandon (Phyllis) Aycock of Idaho Falls, ID,
son, Isaac H. Aycock of Idaho Falls, ID,
son, Steven Eckhout of Idaho Falls, ID,
son, Daniel Eckhout of San Diego, CA,
sister, Carol (Carl) Tackett of Hendersonville, TN,
sister, Aneta (Jay) Shoemaker of Fort Collins, CO,
brother, Ernie (Hannah) Aycock of Clearfield, UT,
brother, Randy (Susan) Aycock of Fort Collins, CO, and
6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Thomas Aycock, and a granddaughter, LeeAnn Aycock. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the Idaho Falls LDS Fox Hollow Ward, 2345 West 17th South, with Bishop Mike Dunbar officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
