Garret Mill, 24, of Ucon, passed away July 31, 2023, through a tragic motorcycle accident while farming in Pingree, Idaho.
Garret was born on October 26, 1998, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Milan and Marijke Mill. He grew up and attended schools in Ucon and Idaho Falls, and graduated from Bonneville High School.
Farming was in Garret’s blood. When he was about three he went missing and was found riding in the tractor with the neighbor. He never looked back and he practically grew up on that farm. When he got older he was employed by various farms in the area and he worked as a farmer for Brad Hall at the time of his passing.
He loved his Savior and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission for the Church which began in Salem, Oregon, and ended as a Service Missionary for the church farm here in the Idaho Falls area. Garret loved both parts of his mission and spoke fondly of his opportunities there. Other than farming, Garret loved fixing and putting things together, whether that was a computer or a truck. He was always working on a project and buying new tools and parts to fix and improve things. Garret had a tender heart and cared deeply for others. He would frequently get his family members spontaneous gifts to make their lives easier. He was often caught changing the oil or fixing the brake pads on their cars without being asked and by using his own money.
Garret is survived by his loving parents, Milan and Marijke Mill of Idaho Falls, ID; as well as his two sisters, Crystel (Michael) and Heidi; and extended family.
Anyone wishing to pay respects and send condolences can do so by reaching out to others as Garret would have done and cherishing their loved ones still on the earth.
