Garret Dean Chaffin

Garret Dean Chaffin, 58, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 2, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Garret was born February 12, 1963, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Lavar  Chaffin and Frances  Durfee Chaffin.  He grew up and attended schools in Firth, Idaho. Later on he enrolled into the Job Corp.

On August 1, 1987, he married Shauna Hult in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. Garret made his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he worked as a Heavy Equiptment Operator.

He was a member of Calvary Chapel. He enjoyed beading, Native American artwork, leather working, and riding his bike.

Garret is survived by his loving son, Jeremy (Melissa) Chaffin of Idaho Falls, ID, son, Casey Scott (Sammy) Chaffin of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Mikayla Marie Chaffin of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, LeeAnn Chaffin of Idaho Falls, ID; brothers, John  Chaffin of Idaho Falls, ID, and Guy Chaffin of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wendy Ingelstrom; and brother, Kenny Chaffin.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Watersprings Church, 4250 South 25th East. Inurnment will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
