GALE W. PETERSEN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Gale West Petersen, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 26, 2009, at Life Care Center.
Gale was born April 25, 1925, in Coalville, Utah, to Olie Andrew Petersen and Florence West Petersen. He attended Coalville public schools and Ely Nevada Trade School. He served in the Army during World War II..
He married Beth J. Johnson on November 12, 1961, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Idaho Falls where he worked as a Grocer for Waremart and Smith's.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering, doing yard work and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of forty eight years, Beth J. Petersen of Idaho Falls; daughter, Susan (Mike) Homer of Everett, WA; daughter, Nancy (Dan) Wilson of Wrightwood, CA; son, Jimmy Petersen of Idaho Falls; sisters, Thelma Wild of Kamas, UT and Dorothy Peterson of Ogden, UT. Gale had eight grandchildren: Megan, Stephen, Erik and Sam Homer, Riley, Mason, Tara and Carson Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters; and his son, Gary Peterson.
The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at the Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.
