Gail Joy (Ryder) Bolton

Gail Joy Bolton, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 6, 2022, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Gail was born April 14, 1943, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Lloyd Hanson Ryder and Jeanette Cleveland Ryder. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

Gail made her home in Idaho Falls, where she worked as a child support collections agent for the State of Idaho.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was an artist and loved to read, especially about history. She loved animals and caring for her plants. She enjoyed singing.

Gail is survived by her loving son, Richard Bolton of Boise, ID; daughter, Teri Whitbeck of Boise; sister, Jean Ryder (James) Aicher; of Idaho Falls; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Summers; sister, Judy Lloy Davidson; and brother, Blake Lloyd Ryder.

A gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
