GAIL HANSON
HEMET, CA -- Gail George Hanson, 89, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away December 29, 2008, in Hemet, California.
He was born May 12, 1919 in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Nels Christian Hanson and Alice Fidelia Wade Hanson. He attended local schools and graduated from St. Anthony High School. He joined the Navy during WWII and served in the Pacific.
He married LaRae Beck on July 3, 1941 in Parker, Idaho. They made their home in St. Anthony and then moved to Idaho Falls where they resided for 47 years. He worked as a diesel mechanic for 30 years at the INEL Site. LaRae preceded him in death on September 17, 1998. For the last 10 years he has lived in Overton, Nevada; Beaver, Utah; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Hemet, California.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed camping and fishing.

Daughter: Paula Crockett, Las Vegas, NV
8 Grandchildren & 14 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife; his son, Gaylon Beck Hanson; a grandson, Morgan Sean Crockett; a great grandson, Ian Paul Crockett; brothers, James Hanson, Burton Guthrie, Alonzo Guthrie, Christian Hanson, Paul Hanson, Edward Hanson, Clifford Hanson; sisters, Allie Hanson and Emma Guthrie Morton.
Graveside Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at Parker Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Idaho Honor Guard.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 at Wood Funeral Home.
