Furla Davies Burke, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away on January 22, 2018, at her home.
She was born February 21, 1926, in Talmage, Utah to James Wallace Davies and Blanche Levina Mecham Davies. The family moved to Woodville, Idaho where she attended Woodville Elementary and later graduated from Shelley High School.
On September 2, 1947, she married Willard L. Burke in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Furla was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed dancing and playing pinochle.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel; Rodney (Gretchen); Brad (Colleen); Wes (Randy); Marde (Renèe); and Simon (Jamie); daughters, Jan (Tim) and Jill (Tom); and 9 grandchildren: Brandon, Malyssa, Taylor, Bryce, Devyn, Shay, Brayden, Chandra, and Colten.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard; two sons, Tom and Ted, and her companion, Jim Wartchow.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Friday from 1-1:45 p.m., both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
