Fred "Jeep" Molnar, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 20, 2016, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living.
Jeep was born July 4, 1937, in Bay City, Michigan, to Stephen Molnar and Sophie Kaczmarczyk Molnar. He grew up and attended schools in Bay City, Michigan.
Jeep was beloved by everyone who knew him; some were famous and some not so much. He enjoyed the outdoors and reveled in the beauty of nature. He owned a successful tree-trimming service and was a great friend to his crew. Jeep was a professional musician and enjoyed playing the drums and saxophone. He was 22 years old when he and his cousin started a band and played their first gig. He was a concert promoter and brought many famous musicians to Idaho Falls and Jeep's Bar in Alpine, Wyoming.
Jeep is survived by his sons, Steven Molnar, Dan Molnar, Brian Herndon, Cie J Molnar; daughter, Kimberlie Pybus; cousins, Jim and Dorothy Talaga; dearest friend, Raul Herrera and countless other friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Bay City, Michigan.
