Fred Aaron Miller, 69, of Irwin, passed away October 23, 2023, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
Fred was born July 16, 1954, in Afton, Wyoming, to Bill Miller and Yvonne Weeks Miller. He grew up and attended schools in Swan Valley and Bonneville High School. He also attended Votec and received his welding degree. He served in the Marines and was in the Vietnam War.
He married DeAnn Thornock on January 28, 1978, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were later divorced.
On May 19, 2007, he married Kim Miller in Irwin, Idaho. Fred and Kim made their home in Irwin where Fred worked as a welder.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, and camping. He liked to make people laugh. He loved his kids and grandkids. He is the inventor of the bear hug and we all enjoyed it. He enjoyed life!
Fred is survived by his wife, Kim Miller of Irwin, ID; son, Jeremy Bill (Camille) Miller of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kristy Ann (Ken) Colby of Elliston, MT; step-daughters, Nicole and Heather Stringfellow, both of Indiana; brother, Ryan (Stacy) Livingston of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Bonnie Mary Houghton of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Mindy (Denny) Olson of Rigby, ID; sister, Linda (Karl) Dierks of Irwin, ID; and 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Yvonne Miller; brother, Mike Miller; and his grandparents on both sides.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Chapel in the Valley, 3263 US-26, in Swan Valley.
