Fred Adams

Fred Adams, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 15, 2017, at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice and his loving family. Fred was born June 13, 1929, in Ririe, Idaho, to William Heber Adams and Arletta Hatfield Adams. He grew up and attended schools in Grand Valley and Swan Valley, Idaho. On October 16, 1948, he married Barbara Ann Page in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born six children, Kendall, Stevan, Robert, Clayton, Drew and Vaughn. Fred and Barbara made their home in Idaho Falls where Fred was the first licensed journeyman lineman for the City of Idaho Falls. He worked there until his retirement. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting, scouting and horses. His greatest love was his family. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Barbara Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Stevan C. (Julie) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Robert William (Carolee) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Clayton Clemance (Kris) Adams of Bellevue, ID; son, Drew H. (Shawna) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Vaughn W. Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter-in-law, Wanda (Kendall, deceased) Adams of Rexburg, ID; sister, Helen Meyer of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Nita Beasley of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Billie Morgan of Emmet, ID; brother, Conroy (Arlene) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; 26 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kendall Adams; grandsons, Clinton Fred Adams and William Fred Adams; brother, William Heber Adams; and five sisters, Elmina Grant, Lucetta Jacobson, Shirley Longacre, Renee Pietila and Rita Pinney.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, 12463 East 129 North.
