Franklin Edward Lawyer, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 9, 2013 at Bonaventure of Idaho Falls, following a lingering illness. He was under the care of his family and Hearts For Hospice.
Frank was born August 12, 1933, in Normal, Illinois, to Elmer Clayton Lawyer and Josephine Shomaker Lawyer. He graduated from Watseka Community High School in Watseka, Illinois. After graduation, Frank joined the U.S. Air Force. He received his certificate of proficiency for pilot training, serving as an Aviation Cadet. He received his certificate of graduation at Spence Field in Moultrie, Georgia.
While stationed with the 765th AC&W Squadron in Charleston, Maine, he met Elizabeth Helen ‘Betty’ Rankin. They were married in the Methodist Church in Woodland, Illinois, on November 25, 1956. They later adopted two children, Julie and Brian.
Frank was the owner and operator of Decals and later Dikuts. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Bingham Lodge #14 and achieved the leadership offices of all branches at the state level. He also achieved the office of General Commanding of the World, on the International level. He was active in muzzle loading, Civitans, and served as Regional Director for Citizens Against Poaching for over 25 years. Frank truly lived his life believing and living the Fatherhood of God, and the Brotherhood of Man.

Son, Brian (Marci) Lawyer of Sioux Falls, SD,
Three grandchildren, Tanner Lawyer, Shasta and Randy Beasterfield, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elizabeth ‘Betty,’ three sisters, Cleo, Ruth, and a sister who died in infancy, and two brothers, Joe and John.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard. Graveside Rites will be conducted by Bingham Lodge #14, I.O.O.F.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the American Heart Association, 350 North 9th Street, Suite 404, Boise, ID 83702.
