Franklyn “Frank” Morton, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 24, 2020, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Frank was born May 31, 1950, in Medford, Oregon. He grew up in Reno, Nevada, and graduated from high school there. He chose to enlist in the United States Marine Corps and served honorably for several years. He then went on to work as a mechanic repairing conveyor belt systems for 32 years at K-mart.
Later in life, he married Juli Scholes Morton on February 19, 2016, and enjoyed spending time with her children, Cory, Cara, and Cali. He also enjoyed going fishing, but most of all, he loved his motorcycle and was a member of the Marine Corps Motorcycle Club in Idaho Falls.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Juli; children, Cory (Dana) Gneiting of Idaho Falls, ID, Cara Gneiting of Kellogg, ID, and Cali (Shane Loveland) Gneiting of Idaho Falls, ID; brothers, Alvin Morton of Phoenix, AZ, and Larry Morton of Reno, NV; and 4 grandchildren, Joey Morris, Abby Morris, Landon Gneiting, and Marli Gneiting.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020, at the Idaho Falls Stake Center, 1155 East 1st Street. The family will visit with friends one hour prior at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
