Francis Delano Malloy

Francis Delano Malloy, 82, of Ammon, passed away July 31, 2019, at his home from complications of an ongoing illness.

Francis was born November 22, 1936, in Butcher Town, Montana, just outside of Butte, to Violet Celesta (Hankinson) Malloy and Thomas Malloy.

He married Phyllis Arlene Taylor on January 22, 1956, in Melrose, Montana. He loved to camp, hunt, fish, travel, and spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Francis worked in the dairy industry for 36 ½ years and retired in 1996, as a manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Heather Jean Malloy; brother, Thomas Aaron Malloy, sister, Theo Aldene Malloy Grose, a brother, who was never named, two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, five nephews and six nieces.

Francis is survived by his wife, Phyllis "Pat" Arlene (Taylor) Malloy; daughter, Deborah Zoe Malloy; son & daughter-in-law, Virgal Delano and Julie (Bishop) Malloy; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two brothers, and many nephews and nieces.

Francis will be missed by family and friends alike.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, in Ammon, Idaho. The family will meet with friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
