Francis William Cleverley, 88, passed away at home December 11, 2022. A life long resident of Idaho Falls, Francis lived the past five years with his son in Nampa, Idaho.
Francis was born July 29, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Wallace William Cleverley and Linda Burtenshaw Cleverley.
He married Irma Renae Wride on March 4, 1954. They were later divorced. He married Carol Nelson Anderson on March 8, 1972. Carol passed away in 2006. Francis began working in the mid-1950's at the Department of Energy’s Advanced Test Reactor facilities, at the Idaho National Laboratory, retiring as a Senior Reactor Operator in early 1990's. He was a corporal and expert marksman with the M-1 rifle in the Army Reserves.
He had a keen interest in technology, and enjoyed staying current with the latest and greatest computers and cell phones. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and was an avid reader. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his sons, Cary, Gary, Joel, Alan, and Matthew; daughters, Tamera and Stephanie; step-children, Vanica, Brian, and Michelle; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two grandchildren and three sisters.
Per his request, no services will be held. Interment will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery in Jefferson County, Idaho.
