Frances Irene (Stata) Moody

Frances Irene Moody, 65, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 16, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Frances was born February 22, 1955, in Harvey, Illinois, to Franklin Earle Stata and Eula Arbella McClanahan Stata. She grew up and attended schools in Chicago. After high school, she attended Joliet Jr. College where she studied Cosmetology and became a Certified Nursing Assistant.

On July 6, 1984, she married John Moody. They were blessed with two children, Craig and Dana “Gayle.” Frances and John were later divorced.

She was Pentecostal and enjoyed camping and fishing by the river. Frances also enjoyed painting, needlepoint, crocheting, and scratching off lottery tickets.

Frances is survived by her loving son, Craig (Zebrin Russell) Moody of Rockford, IL; daughter, Dana (Clarence) Johnson; significant other, Darryl Murphy of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Russell Stata of Paducah, KY; sister, Sharon McKee of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Robert Eickmann of Idaho Falls, ID; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Jean Jones and Bonnie Stata; and brothers, Earle Scott Stata and Leon Stata.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
