FRANCES MACK
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Frances Kathie Mack 75, of Idaho Falls, died July 18, 2009 at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.
She was born November 19, 1933, in Stockton, California, to Ralph Walter Steger and Bruna Olga Sartini Steger. She spent her childhood years in Stockton with her brother Frank.
She met and married Thomas Mack in 1953. To that union, two children were born: Debra in 1956 and Stephen in 1964. In 1972, their family made their way to Gibbonsville, Idaho. During that time Frances worked for the U. S. Post Office and served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Gibbonsville Improvement Association for a number of years.
She was an honorary life-time member of the Association. Her husband passed away in January of 1986 and she continued to live in Gibbonsville until 1994, when she moved to Challis to be close to her daughter and son-in-law. In 2004, she moved to Idaho Falls to be close to medical facilities and her son and his family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her brother Frank and his wife Yvonne Steger of Stockton, California, her daughter Debra and her husband Pete Peters of Challis, her son Stephen and his wife Camille of Idaho Falls, 4 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren, and her beloved puppy, Sandy.
Private Family Services will be held.
