Frances Merrill Mollinet Foster, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away, July 25, 2011, at her home of natural causes. She was under the care of her loving family and Alliance Hospice. Frances was born August 18, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Richard Edward Mollinet and Edith Hyde Merrill Mollinet. She grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from Highland High School. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in Sociology from the University of Utah. She married Kent Wade Foster March 19, 1965 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home briefly in Salt Lake City before moving to Idaho Falls 45 years ago. While in Salt Lake City she taught school at Granite Junior High School and worked at the State Employment Agency. After they came to Idaho Falls she taught briefly at Central Junior High School, worked for the State Employment Office, and was a case worker for LDS Social Services in Idaho Falls until leaving to stay home with her growing family. Frances was a full-time homemaker, wife, and mother and loved serving her family. She later spent many years as a volunteer for LDS Social Services. She also served as Election Judge in her precinct. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Frances served as Young Women President, Stake Relief Society President, Scout Committee Chairman, and held numerous other callings over the years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and family history. She especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Kent W. Foster of Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Kent Wade (Chrisjonna Rene) Foster II of Winter Haven, FL; Son: David Charles Foster of Albuquerque, NM; Son: Paul Joseph (Virginia Ellen) Foster of Aiken, SC; Daughter: Leslie Jane (Jed Douglas) Pack of Glenville, NY; Son: Adam Stewart (Jessica SueAnn) Foster of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother: Richard Merrill Mollinet of Salt Lake City, UT; Brother: John Merrill Mollinet of Portland, OR; Sister: Jean Stevenson of Provo, UT; and 12 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Edith Hansen, and a daughter, Stephanie Katherine (Dan) Carter. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Idaho Falls LDS Eagle Rock Stake Center, 2020 South Charlotte Drive, with Bishop Todd Shepherd of the Idaho Falls LDS Pioneer Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., with both visitations at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
