Frances Cavanaugh

Frances Ruth Yecha Cavanaugh, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully December 8, 2012, at the Bonaventure Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls of causes incident to age. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. Frances was born April 3, 1923, in Winifred, Montana. She was the daughter of James W. Yecha and Frances Dolezal Yecha. She attended school in Winifred and Lewistown, Montana. She had a teaching certificate from Montana Normal School in Billings, Montana. Before and during World War II she was a teacher in one-room schools in Baker, and Kinsey, Montana. Frances married Charles J. Cavanaugh June 8, 1946, in Bozeman, Montana. Frances was a Christian, a room mother, a PTA officer, and a cub scout leader. For a period she worked for the Post Register Newspaper in Idaho Falls and worked as a school crossing guard. She was also a homemaker who loved her family and was very active in the lives of her children. In later life she enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and sudoku, and working in her garden. She is survived by Husband, Charles Jerome Cavanaugh of Idaho Falls; Daughter, Elizabeth (Morgan) Hill of Hayden, Idaho; Son, Patrick Charles Cavanaugh of Boise, ID; Daughter, Mary Dell Hall of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Kenneth John (Toni) Cavanaugh of Boise, ID; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Edward Yecha, Stanley Yecha, and Victor Yecha, a sister, Mary Pruett, and a daughter-in-law, Susan Cavanaugh. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Cloverdale Park & Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Road, Boise. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls, and Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Cloverdale Park & Funeral Home.
