FLOYD E. ROLLINS
Floyd Edgar Rollins, 76, of Shelley, died November 11, 2001, at his home.
He was born May 21, 1925 at Minersville, Utah to Vern F. Rollins and Ella A. Corbridge. He grew up and attended schools in the area. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II in Europe. During the Battle of the Bulge, he was disabled and, thereafter, wore an artificial leg.
He married Doris LaReah Collins on August 12, 1946 in Pleasant Grove, UT. They moved to Woodville, Idaho where they raised their family. He was a truck driver and worked very hard for his family.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing and carpentry.
Surviving are:Son: Floyd Lynn Rollins, Shelley, IDDaughter: Sandra Kay Rollins, Shelley, IDSon: Terry Vern Rollins, Shelley, IDTwin Sister: Flossie E. Adams, Minersville, UTSister: Raynola Fowler, Shelley, ID 4 Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son, Bryan; a daughter, Connie Jean; 1 grandson; 3 brother, Frank W., Arnold W., and Leland Doyle; and 3 sisters, Vernette Rasmussen, R. Hannah Adams, and D. Belva Atkins.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Thursday, November 15, 2001, at the Wood Funeral Home, with Bishop Clayton Rich of the Woodville 2nd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Burial will be in Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
