FLOYD MORTENSEN RIGBY, ID -- Veldon Floyd Mortensen, 90, of Rigby, Idaho, formerly of Idaho Falls, died April 11, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following a stroke. He was born June 24, 1912, at Salem, Idaho, to Peter Mortensen and Annie Harris Mortensen. He grew up in Salem and attended schools in Sugar City. He married Lilly Luella Rock February 10, 1934, in Idaho Falls. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where he worked as a master mechanic and construction supervisor for U & I Sugar Company for 50 years. He also drove school bus in Idaho Falls for five years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed making jewelry, fishing, traveling, woodworking, rock collecting, golf, and dancing. Mortensen, Cataldo, IDSister: Bea Anderson, Salt Lake City, UT 8 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, 1Great Great GrandchildHe was preceded in death by two sons, Veldon Ray Mortensen and James Errol Mortensen, eight brothers and three sisters. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at the Garfield LDS 2nd Ward, 71 North 3700 East, Rigby, with Bishop Karl M. Stucki officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Tuesday for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Rexburg Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. The lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Primary Children’s Medical Center, P. O.
