FLOYD M. GIFFORD
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Floyd Milo Gifford, 72, of Iona, died October 26, 2001, at his home.
He was born December 16, 1928, at Woodville, to Milo B. Gifford and Ruby Pearl Elder Gifford. He grew up in the area, attended Firth High School, then graduated in 1947 from Iona High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Fighter Squadron 51.
He married Leisa Walker on August 4, 1949 in Blackfoot. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 6, 1998. He was a farmer and also worked as an electrician.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a temple worker and as secretary in the High Priest Quorum. He enjoyed square dancing, fishing, boating, camping with his family, reading westerns & church books, doing jigsaw puzzles, and computers.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2001, at the Iona LDS Stake Center, on the corner of the Ririe Highway & Iona Road, with Bishop Mike Long of the Iona LDS 5th Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
