Florence Leaf

Florence was born March 18, 1923, in Richey, Montana, to Bernard Midboe and Mary Helen Trulock Midboe. She grew up and attended schools in Glendive and graduated from High School in Helena, Montana.

On December 6, 1941, she married Raymond Walter Leaf in Glendive, Montana. To this union were born three children, Dennis, Lorraine and Lynn. The family moved to Idaho Falls in 1956, where Florence was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was part of the Happy Stitchers quilting group and Bible study and more recently New Day Lutheran Church in Idaho Falls. She enjoyed embroidery, beading and various crafts. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and all family activities.

Florence is survived by her son, Dennis Raymond (Carlena) Leaf of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lorraine Louise (Leslie) Backstrom of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lynn Darlene (Allen) Price of Everett, WA; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Charles, Howard, Paul, and Donald Midboe, sisters, Maggie Frederickson, Bessie Laughon, and Ruth Olmstead, and a granddaughter, Gretchen Backstrom.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday July 20, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge, Ave. Idaho Falls). The family will visit with friends one hour proceeding the service and also on Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Cemetery next to her husband following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to The Soup Kitchen, 301 S. Boulevard, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
