Florence Hult - 01/29/2003 Florence Hult - 01/29/2003 FLORENCE HULT IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Florence Mary Martin Hult, 79, of Idaho Falls, died January 28, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. She was born February 4, 1923, at Idaho Falls, to Presley Martin and Ellen Millard Martin. She was raised on a ranch west of Woodville and graduated from Taysom Grade School, where she had skipped two grades. Florence went on to graduate as Salutatorian of Shelley High School, then attended business college in Boise. She entered the U. S. Navy Waves in 1942 and served during World War II. Florence married Melvin L. Hult February 19, 1943, at Tacoma, Washington. They made their home in Blackfoot for three years following the war, then lived briefly in the Rose area and Shelley until they bought their farm near Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked as a Traffic Manager for Idaho Potato growers until her retirement. She had also worked at Roger Brothers. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Florence enjoyed going for drives and especially enjoyed going to the Palisades area to see the fall colors. She loved travel, reading, and poetry. Surviving are:Husband: Melvin Hult, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Galen [Sandy] Hult, Idaho FallsDaughter: Valerie [Ken] Lawson, Idaho FallsBrother: Harold "Rusty" Martin, Woodville 7 Grandchildren: Jeremy Hult, Amy Hult Lords, Zachary and Shaylyn Lawson, Lee and Jennifer Kerns, and Kristopher Andersen; and 8 Great Grandchildren: Brianna Hult, Dylan Lords, Kody and Savannah Kerns, Nick Swanson, Chloe Walker, and Alexis and Tavia Andersen She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Martin and Robert Martin. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2003 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. If you would like to offer your condolences fill in the form below.
