Florence Horton

FLORENCE A. HORTON IDAHO FALLS, ID - Florence Amelia Berger Horton, 91, died March 4, 2004 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born March 3, 1913 in Pekin, Illinois to Albert Francis Berger and Lucinda Amelia Joesting Berger. She was raised in the Pekin area and attended schools in the area graduating from Pekin Community High School. She married Ernest Ray Horton on October 30, 1931 in Pekin, Illinois. He died June 20, 1998 . She was a homemaker and worked at Sears in Pekin, Illinois for 25 years. She has lived in Idaho Falls since 1981. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed cooking, camping and fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by: Daughter: Arlene (Merrill) Walker of Ammon Brother: Richard E. (Nola Jean) Berger of Pekin, IL 4 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett and Walter Berger Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2004 at Wood East Side Chapel (963 Ammon Road) with Bishop Scott Hall, of the Ammon LDS 8th Ward, officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
