Obituary

Faye Yvonne Leavitt, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 24, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was under the care of Solace Hospice.

Faye was born February 2, 1940, in Holdrege, NE, to Arthur Fredrick Wahl and Nellie Laurine Lester Wahl. She grew up and attended schools in the Rexburg area and graduated Valedictorian from Sugar Salem High School.

On June 11, 1959, she married Grand Darnell Leavitt in Preston, ID. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. Faye and Grand made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Faye was a doting mother to her children, Jeff, Julie, Jessica, Jaime, and Jackie.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was passionate about Family History. In her services to others, she touched the lives of countless people. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Faye had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke, tease, and be playful. She was a friend to everyone she met.

Faye is survived by her loving husband, Grand Leavitt of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jeff (Julie) Leavitt of Ammon, ID, daughter, Julie (Dave) Scow of Orem, UT, daughter, Jessica (Paul) Landon of Ammon, ID, daughter, Jackie (Sheldon) Christensen of Ammon, ID, daughter, Jaime (Dean) Baker of Chubbuck, ID; brother, Jimmy Wahl of CA, sister, Patricia (John) Davis of Salt Lake City, UT, sister, Renee (Jerry) Quick of Boise, ID; 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Nellie Wahl; son, Steven Leavitt; grandson, Gavin Scow; brothers, Fred Wahl and Zane Wahl, and sisters, Marilyn Wahl, Kathy Ricks, and Vedene Wahl.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Solitude Ward, 7118 South Ledgerock Drive, with Bishop Brandon Miner officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery.
