Faye Maxine (Freestone) Burger

Faye Maxine Burger crossed over on January 20, 2025, at 3:58 a.m. in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was 84 years old.

Faye was born on June 2, 1940, to Russell and Hazel Freestone in Glasgow, Montana. She was the second of three children.

On February 21, 1958, she married Charles Burger of Glasgow and they had four children.

Faye went to work in the kitchen at the Southside school, and from there she went to the junior high kitchen, finally landing as head cook at Irle school until her retirement. She loved each and every one of the students that came through the lunch line.

Faye’s favorite things to do were camping with friends and family, and playing pinochle with her group of gal pals once a month. But most of all, she loved caring for her grandkids. She will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Ethel Scruggs; daughter, Jody (Mike) Hutter; daughter, Kelly (Dale) Dowell; daughter, Lori (Ken) Badger; son, Steve Burger; grandchildren, Cory Hutter, Derrick Hutter, Bradi Dowell, Geoffrey Dowell, Jake (Jacque) Kennedy, Jesi Kennedy, and Brandee Burger; great-grandchildren, Cayden Hutter, Peyton Dowell, Renee Dowell, Olivia Dowell, Keon Kennedy, and Kason Kennedy; great-great grandchildren, Luna Lynn Hutter - arriving in March 2025. May they meet on the other side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Hazel Freestone; her brother, Tom Freestone; her husband, Charles Burger; and her grandson, Derrick Hutter.

We will love you forever and miss you always!!!
