Farris Wheeler

George Farris Wheeler, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 5, 2013, at Lost Rivers Hospital in Arco, of a heart attack. Farris was born March 5, 1924, in Moreland, Idaho, to Archie Wheeler and Bessie Ellis Wheeler. He grew up in the Arco area and in Ammon and graduated from Ammon High School in 1941. Farris proudly served his country in the U. S. Army Air Force in Italy during World War II as a B24 Turret Gunner and Flight Sergeant. He loved to tell stories of his adventures. He also worked as an electrician, wiring houses with his brother, Bruce. He later worked for Argonne and EG&G Idaho, retiring in 1993. Dorothy passed away May 1, 2004. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Farris served in various capacities over the years.
