Fabian Solis, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away on March 5, 2015, at The Gables in Ammon.
He was born January 22, 1922, in Pocatello, Idaho to John Gurrola Solis and Natividad Hernandez Solis. He grew up and attended schools in the area. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and earned the rank of Corporal.
On November 11, 1943, he married Sophia Herrera in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She preceded him in death on February 11, 1986. Fabian worked as a miner and then as a baker.

2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sophia; his daughter, Sandra Owens; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge). Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Rose Hill Cemetery with a visitation at 1:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home prior to leaving for the cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team at the cemetery.
There will be a dinner for family and friends at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12th, at the Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert Ave., Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
