Evelyn Bea Jacklin Storer, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 31, 2016, at Hospice of Eastern Idaho Home. She was under the care of Encompass Home Health.
Evelyn was born August 2, 1930, in Groveland, Idaho, to Amos Benjamin Jacklin and Edith Bailey Jacklin. She grew up and attended schools in Groveland and graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1948.
On February 1, 1952, she married C. Dean Storer in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were blessed with three daughters, Kristine, Marva, and Kathleen. Evelyn and Dean made their home in Blackfoot, Idaho, and later moved to Idaho Falls, where Evelyn worked as a secretary for the INL and the Bingham County Extension Office. She also volunteered at the Museum of Idaho.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed square dancing, ceramics, camping, shopping, and enjoying friends.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Kristine (Jon) Pfunder of Provo, UT; Marva (Rick) Mortensen of Boise, ID; Kathleen Stevens of St. George, UT; four granddaughters, three grandsons, seven great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Duchess.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Edith Jacklin; husband, C. Dean Storer; grandson, Dane Mortensen; brothers, Delbert and LaVar Jacklin; and sisters, Viola Escot and Ruth Jacobsen.
The family would like to thank extended family, friends, neighbors, and healthcare workers who have helped Evelyn in recent years.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Groveland Cemetery in Blackfoot. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Museum of Idaho, 200 N. Eastern Ave., Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
